1. WHY HOUSE CHURCHES?

A. Jesus emphasized on the act and heart of worship over location and emphasized on the Church as a Body of Believers

John 4:21  “Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”

Matthew 18: 20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”

B. The Early Church Met in House Churches, it’s a proven workable Biblical Model. The Early Church was able to reach the old Roman Empire through the HouseChurch Model before Costantine legalized the institutional Church

Acts 20:20 “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house”

I Corinthians 16:19 “The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 20All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss”

Acts 2:46 (NKJV) So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and

breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and

simplicity of heart …

Philemon 1:2 2 to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets at your house:

1 Corinthians 16:19 (NIV84) The churches in the province of Asia send you

greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the

church that meets at their house.

C. House churches multiply faster than campus or building churches. A typical HouseChurch International Ministry local Church grows to a maximum of 25 members before it splits.

D. House churches provide more effective ministry required for thorough Discipleship and Ministry

E. House Churches cost less to run  and overheads are minimal and most of the resources from tithes are offering are  devoted to Mission work, Discipleship, Media and Charity and there is less financial pressure on saints.

F. The Lord appeared, anointed and called me into the Ministry on 28th August 1998 and also  spoke prophetic visions and revelations to me on July 2020 and 1st  January 2021 about;

 -Reaching Billions of unreached and unreachable people through HouseChurches

-Millions of Homes around the world becoming local churches and embassies for Christ

-The Power of the Holy Ghost resting on homes as pillars of Fire all aound the world and these nn   homes forming a single network of House churches focused on raising rapturable saints

2. WHAT IS A “HOUSE CHURCH?” A HOUSE CHURCH:

A. Is a gathering of saints who are committed to meet regularly for the purposes of growing spiritually, serving each other and winning people in their sphere of contact and community for Jesus. They typically meet in a house not in a church building. Its made up of or two to 25 believers who are accountable to one another.

B. Is led by a Spirit filled Born Again Christian who desires to be a leader and meets the Biblical Criteria.

C. Worships, prays, studies the Bible, breaks bread and facilitates offerings

3. HOW OFTEN DO THEY MEET?

A. A house church can meet anytime depending on the prevailing local circumstances but its recommended that they meet at least once a week preferably in a house.

Acts 20:7 (NKJV) Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came

together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them

and continued his message until midnight.

1 Corinthians 16:2 (NKJV) On the first day of the week let each one of you

lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no

collections when I come.

4. WHO WILL LEAD THE HOUSE CHURCHES?

A. Any Mature stable Born Again Christian male or female who is filled with the Holy Ghost and desires or is  ed by the Lord to start one and has a decent location where saints can comfortably and safely meet and share the word, pray together and break bread.

Qualifications for HouseChurch Leader

Ist Timothy 3: 2 -7

1This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Qualifications for Asst House Church Leader or Leader in Training

Ist Timothy 3: 8 -13

8Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 11Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

5. WHO WILL LEAD THE HOUSE CHURCH LEADERS?

A. HouseChurch International Ministry led by Revd Olalekan Babalola (Bro Soteria)

1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV) And God has appointed these in the church: first

apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of

healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

1 Corinthians 9:1–2 (NKJV) Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not

seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? 2 If I am not an

apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my

apostleship in the Lord.

6. HOW DO YOU START  AND RUN ONE?

A. Invite friends who are believers.

B. Build new relationships through casual get together such as inviting people

to dinner.

C. Meet Weekly or fortnightly to pray together, share the Word interactively, and occasionally eat together and break bread.

D. Conduct local Outreaches and win others who will be discipled and train to also win others

E. Mentor an Assistant who can stand in for you when not available and is trained to start another Housechurch when you exceed 25 in membership.

7. WHY HAVE HOUSE CHURCHES UNDER ANOTHER  HOUSECHURCH INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY?

A. Every church is part of the Church of the Lord Jesus, the body of Christ

Matthew 16:18 (ESV) “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will

build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

B. The Church is not merely a gathering, but a living, spiritual body

1 Peter 2:5 (NKJV) “you also, as living stones, are being built up a

spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices

acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

C. The body of Christ has a structure

1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV) “And God has appointed these in the

church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles,

then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.”

D. No pastor owns his or her church

Acts 20:28 (NKJV) “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock,

among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the

church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”

E. It’s scriptural to have churches within churches

1 Corinthians 1:1–2 (NKJV) “Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ

through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 To the church of

God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus,

called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus

Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:”

1 Corinthians 16:19 (NKJV) “…Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in

the Lord, with the church that is in their house.”

Acts 18:1–2 (NKJV) “After these things Paul departed from Athens and

went to Corinth. 2 And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in

Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla…”

8. WHAT IS THE CURRENT LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE OVER A HOUSECHURCH INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY?

Hebrews 13:17 (NKJV) “Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for

they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so

with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.”

A. Jesus Christ, The Good Shepard

B. HouseChurch International Ministry Board of Trustees (Registered as a Canadian Federal Non Profit and as a Church in Nigerian)

D. Local HouseChurch Leaders who work as Tentemakers (unpaid Volunteers who have full Time paid secular Jobs) in various locations around the world

10. OUR EXISTING MINISTRY PLATFORMS

  2. We Broadcast Globally Monday to Saturday on Shortwave Radio on Frequency 5950Khz at 8pm Eastern Time, 5850Khz 8am Eastern Time and 6:30pm on 15770Khz Eastern Time

  5. We meet at our various local housechurches globally once a week where we pray, break bread, study the word interactively and conduct local outreaches.
  6. We give to the poor and needy and support vulnerable in communities through our Global Charity Soteriah International (Soteriah.ca) , We run a food bank, and give groceries, petty cash, clothes and Bibles to the needy around the world
  7. We run a Social Protection Non Governmental Organisation that empowers Youths and Women through Vocational Training and Start Ups in Micro Enterprises and Social Interventions

11.          HOW CAN I SUPPORT THIS VISION?

Giving of tithes offering and seeds is done mostly electronically if possible, there are exceptions when there are no means, such giving can be done to local leaders who will communicate such to the central Ministry account. Our eresources are used for Missionary Outreaches and supporting the poor and voulnerable

12. WHO IS REV, OLALEKAN BABALOLA (Bro Soteria)? He is the visionary, Leader and Senior Pastor of HouseChurch International Ministry, He got Born Again on 1988 and has served the Lord in various leadership capacities under various ministries for over 35 years. He was called into Ministry on August 28th 1998 at the age of 20 but was fully commissioned into Ministry on July 2020. This led him to set Up Soteriah International and HouseChruch International Ministry a Non Denominational Christian Ministry focused on Discipleship, Missions nand establishment of HousChurches around the World. Bro Soteria is a trained and ordained Minister, a  Radio Evangelist, Missionary and Humanitarian. He is married to Olajumoke and trained teacher and childcare giver and together they have 2 boys, Christian and Rhema .
